Services

Woodland Farms offers a variety of training and lease programs designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We believe that every rider should build a strong foundation and develop a thorough understanding of working with and handling horses. It is important for our riders to establish a bond with their horse and learn responsibility through caring for them. We also encourage all of our riders to participate in competitions. Showing provides the opportunity for riders to demonstrate their skills, build confidence, and foster sportsmanship. Whether you are new to showing or are a seasoned competitor, we participate in horse shows that cater to all skill levels.

At Woodland Farms, we strive to create more than a good rider; we strive to create an excellent horseperson.

Training Programs

  • Full Training

Our full-training program is provided six days a week, Monday through Saturday. It includes daily care, lessons, and professional rides. This typically entails three instructed lessons and two professional schooling rides each week. This program includes turnouts, lunges, maintenance grooming, and standing for veterinary, chiropractic, and masseuse calls and visits.

    $1,000/month

  • Half Training

The half-training program is a service that includes three days a week, between Tuesday and Saturday, of any combination of lessons and/or professional rides. Turnouts, lunges, and maintenance grooming are not included in this program.

  • Lay-Up Training

We offer a lay-up training service for horses that cannot be ridden for more than three weeks due to injury. This service is provided five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, and includes hand walking or walking under saddle (up to twenty minutes each day). Additionally, wrapping and icing of legs, distribution of any medication or special feeding needed, standing for vet calls as necessary, and providing any other care indicated by the veterinarian are also provided. The owner will provide necessary wraps and medications. Once the horse is able to walk-trot under saddle, full training rates will apply.

  • Lease

This program is for riders leasing a horse in the barn. The below rates are not inclusive of the horse lease fee.

    1 lesson/schooling ride per week = $350/month

    2 lessons/schooling rides per week = $650/month

    3 lessons/schooling rides per week = $800/month
